Yes, $300,000 was the price tag for a single parking space at The Brimmer Street garage in Beacon Hill . And this does not seem to be a rare occurence. Five or six parking spaces have sold for around $300,000 at the same garage since 2011.
Some of Boston’s trendy neighborhoods require high price tags on parking spaces. The Back Bay is such an area where one parking space sold for a staggering $360,000. Actually, the Back Bay still holds the record for the most expensive parking space in the nation.
The South End is another area where parking spaces sell in the hundreds of thousands. One can expect to pay around $150,000 for a single space. The record in the South End for a garage parking space at the Atelier 505 Luxury building is $250,000.

Boston has seen some exciting luxury rentals in the last few years. The Mandarin Oriental Boston has the lion’s share, of course. Unit E11-B, a superb Boston Luxury condo rented for $26,000 in February. Since its opening , the Mandarin Oriental Back Bay has housed some of the most expensive luxury apartments for rent and luxury condos for sale.
The second runner up is a surprise: The Grandview in downtown Boston. Unit 1701, a four bed with 3 baths and 2 parking spaces rented for $19,000. This is by far the most expensive rental in the history of the building.
The Ritz Carlton, 51 Commmonwealth Avenue, and The Intercontinental Boston share the third place with $15,000 luxury rentals.
In fourth place came 3 Battery Wharf on the Boston Waterfront and a luxury Back Bay brownstone at 192 Commonwealth Avenue with $12,500 rents.
Last but not least a beautiful luxury loft at 360 Newbury and a luxury condo at the famed Carlton House Back Bay rented for a mere $10,000.

The Mandarin Oriental Boston residences remain the strongest in $5 million+ luxury condos market, with two properties sold in the last four months. Unit W11-A sold for a staggering asking price of $5,575,000, and unit W11-B sold for $10,300,000. Furthermore, there are 3 more luxury condos for sale now. Unit E11-E for $2,795,000, Unit W9-C for $4,399,000, and Unit E10-A for $7,900,000.
15 Commonwealth Avenue in Back Bay was on the market for $15 million, and sold for $12,500,000. The buyers are going to gut renovate the property into a super modern luxury mansion steps away from the Public Garden.
100 Beacon new luxury condos Penthouse B just closed for $6,500,000. This 3782 sqft top floor luxury PH features 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, 2 parking spaces, and sweeping views of Boston and The Charles River.
